I merely wanted to hear from the other half involved. He refuses to return my messages yet he messages you to have things deleted.

Corstiaan..... I appreciate the help, but short of driving to his house and breaking his legs, there is nothing that can be done.

I don't understand most of you German's. I placed a lot of faith, time and trust in some and this is the return I get? From the 3 I trusted, two screwed me over. To the tune of thousands of euros.

Not sure how many people saw my thread.

I can only guess who deleted it and why it disappeared.

Perhaps someone can shed some light?

Karma is a bitch. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Yes.... been in the states since February.

The 20's are still in Germany and for sale if anyone is interested. They are in Gerolzhofen just outside of Schweinfurt.

Thanks for all kind words. I miss Germany. I don't miss the Army though. :D

I nearly forgot. Just like Jenni said, the stock MAP sensor can only read to 19psi. It cannot read higher. To get to 300ps on a stock turbo you'll need 20psi or higher. So unless you can figure out a way to clip the ECU at 19psi and not let it reach fuel cut.... another part to replace outside of a chip tune.

300ps on only chiptuning is impossible as Jenni has said. The stock components in the SRT4 will not allow that kind of power.

The stock turbo is capable of 300whp+. Thats not the issue. The stock wastegate will not stay closed long enough to get you to the PSI you need to get 300ps. You would have to change that trim in the ECU to get it to work.

Next problem is fuel. The stock injectors running at 110% of cycle aren't enough to get you 300ps. Even a Stage 2 kit direct from Mopar gives you new fuel injectors and sensors so that you can get 260ps.

The final problem is exhaust. The stock SRT has 2 choke points. The small o2 housing and the exhaust rear section. A nice 3" exhaust will free you a lot of ponies.

900 Euro for the "idea" that you can get 300ps would be a waste of money. 900 Euro is about what... $1300? For $1300 you could get a good Staged computer to get your timing and fuel running nicely. A nice wastegate to up the boost. A good exhaust... I just watched a 3" side exit sell for $310 plus shipping... And even leave enough for an intake to get you some nice cool air into the turbo. For a few hundred more you can add a fuel pump and some injectors and really be talking about some good numbers.

Talk to any good tuner, Darrel Cox, AaronNeon, TK Motorsports... they will all tell you its a mixture of components and tune. There is no way around it..... you MUST replace components to get to the point where a tune is going to help you.

Codes are from having no tip, no AAT sensor and the NVLD sensor is either bad or unplugged. Klaus and I have been talking about the different things to get him the horsepower he wants.

Ok.... Installed MSN and look forward to talking to you soon.

Saw the post on SRTforums. Responded on there as well.

Yes I can look for gebraucht teile.

You can do all on the stock ECU, but the car might try to throw codes the more HP you get. 05's are worse than 04's and 03's. Most people just grab a S1 ECU and put it in thats why I suggested it. That was one of the first things I did with my 05.

I have no clue what GFK parts are but sounds interesting. *LOL* I do have a 2002 VW Jetta (bora) kombi 1.8t for my wife that could use some a front stoss stange. Someone hit her car in the parking lot of my house when she was asleep.

Trying to download MSN messenger now. I'll add you once I do.

You can make 400ps on the stock engine. The pistons and rods are ok for that. But for a GT35 you would not enjoy it. The turbo takes too long to make boost from the stock motor. You wouldn't reach full boost until 4500rpm+.. Way too late for anything good and even then it would be laggy.

A good turbo for 400ps..... GT3076. Just a hair smaller than the GT35 but able to boost faster and still give you room to grow up and above 400ps if you decided to build your engine later. Jason Vick is running the same turbo with a mildly built motor and has 480ps and a very clean power curve.

You will need injectors. 750cc-850cc. Best bet is a stage 1 computer to "ease" the code throwing that the car will like to do. 3 bar map and tip of course. Fuel return line setup so that you don't starve cylinder 4 of fuel. 255lph Walbro fuel pump at a minimum as well. The intercooler will be ok for what you have. Intercooler hard pipes, a blow off valve and possibly a new and larger charge pipe from the turbo to the first intercooler pipe. And you'll need some type of larger exhaust. Since you are German..... I'd say keep the stock exhaust and get a dump pipe that you can take on and off for TUV. When you want to run big power.... open the dump. Close it up when the Polizei is around. :D And lastly you'll need some type of tuning device. The easiest is a Diablo as they are cheap and you can datalog with it, email off the data and get back a tune for the car. If you can afford it, a new throttle body and ported and polished intake manifold.

As for the motor... the best thing you can do is get a good head built for it with good cams. Brian Crower Stage 3 cams and the matching valve springs and retainers are your best bet here. A good head from a good company will be a few thousand $$$ though. As I mentioned before I had a full motor built from all brand new parts. It cost me $12000 but included brand new block and head as well. It will handle around 1000hp but I will only push it to around 600hp as that is all the turbo I can afford.

If there is anything else you need let me know and we can get a bigger order together as I need to order some stuff as well. Maybe you can contact me on Yahoo IM or AIM?

Neiin... die motor ist von ein 2004 mit grosse unfall.

If you want to do a GT35 turbo... wow... Ummm... There is a lot that you must do. Injectors, exhaust, computer tuning, intake, pistons and rods. That turbo is very large for the SRT4 stock engine. In comparison I just spent $12000 on a motor to hold a turbo only slightly larger than the GT35 (PTE 6262).

But yes you will need 3 bar MAP and TIP sensors. I know I gave him the stock TIP sensor as well. :( I will see what I can do. I won't be back online until Sunday to give you an answer though.

I can help you get the parts you need to complete the swap. I am the one who sold MiamiNeon the parts in the first place. We told him that one of the hardest things was going to be getting the brakes to work.

The ABS computer is hard to come by. I can't believe he threw it away. Anyway, I'll contact some people about getting another one. Hopefully your English is better than my German. Die ABS steurgerat ist teuer neu von Chrysler. I'll see how much a used one will run and getting it shipped from the states to Germany. Once I get a price I'll post up in here.

No one has seen the car in person yet.... Not even me. :(

The car starts on its 7500km trip next week to get to me. I can't wait! Once it gets here to me in Germany I'll start on the hifi and the turbo swap.

Hope to have it done in time for the Kronach meeting. :D

I think most of the neons are around Kaiserslautern to be honest. Have you checked out SRTforums and the overseas section of that? There's a few of us Americans on there.

Jason has Wenzels old SRT from out in Kaiserslautern. The rims he has are my old rims that I had on my car at the Neon Meeting earlier this year.

Wait a few weeks for him to get pictures of the car up. :D We had a small mishap in it, but it will be a NASTY machine when it comes back out on the road. :D
